Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Chattooga County, GA to support seniors at home. You’ll provide personal care, daily living assistance, and companionship while building trusted relationships with clients and families.

Operate with 1:1 client ratios, set your own schedule, and access online training to earn CEUs. A high school diploma or equivalent and GA PCA certificate are needed; CPR/First Aid and TB screening are required, and a GA driver’s license helps with

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and GA PCA certificate; employer may assist with certification.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification and TB screening within 12 months.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document condition for supervisor.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (employer will assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification and current TB Screening (within 12 months)
• Valid GAdriver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
