Job summary

Citizens Bankers in Newark, NY is seeking a customer-focused branch associate to help clients with everyday banking and financial decisions.

You will build relationships, recommend products, and guide customers through digital banking options while collaborating with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking partners.

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issuesRecognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.
• Qualified candidates must complete a video interview assessment after applying as the next step, to be completed within 7 days of receiving the link.

Responsibilities

• Get to know customers and build lasting relationships.
• Provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions, supporting spending, saving, borrowing and investing needs.
• Guide customers in achieving personal financial goals and introduce digital/mobile banking options.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Banking teams for more complex needs.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkups.
• Follow all financial policies and cash handling procedures.
