Citizens is seeking a friendly, results‑driven Banking Associate for our New Jersey branch. In this role you’ll greet customers, understand their needs, and recommend appropriate financial solutions while handling transactions accurately.

You’ll build lasting relationships through proactive outreach, collaboration with specialists, and a commitment to excellent service. Hours may include weekends/evenings, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues.
• Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including pre-employment checks and NMLS ID.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with financial solutions across spending, saving, borrowing and investing needs.
• Provide recommendations and tailor financial guidance based on customer goals.
• Promote digital and mobile banking solutions and educate customers on usage.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Banking teams for complex needs.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule checkups.
