Job summary

You’ll complete a 9-week Banking Navigator training, gaining hands-on guidance and skills to excel in the branch. Training may occur at different locations and hours before permanent assignment.

Qualifications

• This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of sales, retail, or customer service experience; a college degree is a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of consumer financial products and retail banking services.
• Basic understanding of banking laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Effective consultative communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and determine when escalation is appropriate.
• Knowledge of digital banking tools and self-service capabilities.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and applications.
• Strong interpersonal, sales, and client relationship skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client experience to build, expand, and retain long-term client relationships.
• Open a full range of retail products, including loans, for new and existing clients by making recommendations during service and teller transactions.
• Educate clients about bank services such as online banking, Bill Pay, E-Statements, and mobile/ATM deposits.
• Resolve simple to moderate client problems while maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Perform teller transactions and support relationships to help clients meet financial goals.
• Adhere to internal controls, policies, procedures and applicable laws; participate in coaching and development.
