Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an experienced Permitting & Regulatory Compliance Specialist II to join our growing team. You will independently manage a defined caseload of permitting and compliance projects, owning delivery from application through approval as the primary contact for clients and agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6+ years of permitting, compliance or related experience.
• Experience in architecture, planning, real estate, engineering, construction, government, or related field.
• Retail petroleum / UST experience is required.
• Air quality permitting experience is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and client-facing project management.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a defined caseload portfolio of permitting and compliance projects.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, agencies, and internal teams.
• Prepare, review, and submit permit applications with accuracy.
• Analyze agency comments and ensure timely responses and deadlines.
• Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate across disciplines and maintain proactive client communication.
