Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Perishable Department Supervisor to oversee produce, meats, dairy, bakery, and related perishables, ensuring inventory accuracy, appealing presentation, and strong customer service.

The role supports the Store Manager with safety, policy compliance, and staff training to maintain quality, freshness, and proper handling of food items across all perishables.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage Perishable Departments including produce, fresh meat, dairy, frozen food, bakery items, and associated merchandising.
• Assist with inventory management, perishable stock levels, and pricing standards.
• Provide quality customer service and safety compliance, train associates, and maintain proper stock rotation and cleanliness.
