Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year retail experience with 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in grocery store operations preferred.
• Ability to learn cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of perishable inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in daily perishable department operations, inventory and merchandising.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels and manage turnover.
• Train associates on presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Record inventories and perishable markdowns, analyze causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and food handling rules.
• Support safe and profitable store operations and customer service.
