Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a dedicated Perishable Department Supervisor to manage produce, meats, dairy, bakery, and related areas. You will help with inventory, merchandising, and customer service while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

Responsibilities include staff training, perishable markdown analysis, and accurate record-keeping, partnering with the Store Manager to meet store goals and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring financial integrity through cash accountability and security practices.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels using provided tools and guides.
• Train associates in perishable presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Record inventory levels and assist with customer service needs.
• Ensure adherence to sanitation standards and safety policies.
• Support other operational areas as directed by the Store Manager.
