Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Lead for the Perishable Departments, overseeing produce, meat, dairy, bakery, and related areas. You will assist with inventory management, pricing, presentation, and ensuring a safe, compliant environment while leading assigned associates to maintain freshness and customer satisfaction.

You will train staff, manage stock levels, and support cashiering and store operations, ensuring policies are followed and safety standards met, with a focus on quality customer

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Proficiency with basic math for calculations and reporting.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability and security practices.
• Ensure perishable stock levels and merchandise presentation meet standards.
• Train and supervise assigned associates in perishable areas.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and respond to customer needs.
