Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Lead for the Perishable Departments to manage produce, meat, dairy, bakery, and related areas. You will assist the Store Manager with inventory, merchandising, and safe, profitable operations while delivering quality customer service.

You will train associates on proper handling of perishables, grading, stocking, and pricing, ensuring compliance with all food handling rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability and security procedures.
• Maintain perishable stock levels and manage inventory using daily tools (ads, planners, order guides).
• Train associates in presentation, freshness, and pricing standards for perishables.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns; analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customer needs are addressed timely and safely.
