Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong math and cash handling skills for cash accountability and sales reporting.
• Experience with cash registers and basic reports.
• Ability to review financial statements and identify trends, shrink, and expense control.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposits.
• Familiarity with cash, facility and safety control policies.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Understand and apply safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read plan-o-gram and follow merchandising guidance.
• Willingness to comply with company SOPs and communications.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in securing financial integrity through cash controls and security practices.
• Adhere to SOPs, handbooks, and company communications.
• Train and supervise associates in perishable areas for presentation, freshness, and pricing.
• Ensure perishable stock levels align with store volume and planning tools.
• Record and act on perishable markdowns to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support customer service needs.
• Ensure sanitation standards and safety training in perishable departments.
• Support Store Manager in other operational areas as directed.
• Maintain customer relationships and address needs efficiently.
