Dollar General in Tecumseh, Oklahoma seeks an individual to oversee the Perishable Departments, including produce, meat, dairy, and bakery. You will assist in inventory management, merchandise presentation, and customer service while ensuring a safe work environment and asset protection.

Responsibilities include training associates, maintaining stock levels, monitoring markdowns, and ensuring compliance with food handling rules. This role supports Store Manager and other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret documents and safety rules.
• Must perform basic math, percentages, and report cash activity.
• Must know cash handling procedures and safety controls.
• Must understand inventory and merchandising practices.
• Must acquire required food handling certifications if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Assist Store Manager with perishable department management and inventory.
• Maintain stock levels using perishable planning tools and guides.
• Train associates on presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Train associates in safe handling of food per regulations.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customer needs and requests are addressed promptly.
• Maintain sanitation standards and supervise staff in perishable areas.
• Support other operational areas as directed by the Store Manager.
