Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add/subtract/multiply/divide/percentages).
• Ability to learn and perform cash register functions to generate reports.
• Ability to review operating statements and identify business trends and expense-control opportunities.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices and plan-o-gram adherence.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining financial integrity through cash accountability and security practices.
• Follow SOPs, employee handbook, and communications.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using tools like current ads/planners and order guides.
• Train associates in perishable presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Record inventory levels and assist with customer requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure sanitation standards and safety training for perishable departments.
