Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices; willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain correct perishable stock levels based on store volume using the listed tools.
• Assist in training associates in proper presentation, freshness and pricing standards for perishable areas.
• Assist in training associates in safe handling of food and compliance with rules and regulations.
• Assist Store Manager with adequate scheduling coverage and assess work completion with staff.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure inventory levels are accurately recorded and sanitation standards are followed.
