Job summary

The candidate should have prior retail or grocery leadership experience, strong cash handling skills, and the ability to train and supervise staff to uphold company standards in perishable operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience leading a team in a grocery setting is a plus.
• Ability to obtain local/state food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability and security practices.
• Follow SOPs, employee handbook, and company communications.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using perishable planning tools.
• Train associates in presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure customers' needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Maintain sanitation standards and safety in the Perishable departments.
