Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages for pricing and inventory control.
• Ability to learn and perform cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and willingness to comply with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining perishable stock levels and ensuring fresh product presentation.
• Support cash accountability, key control, and store security practices.
• Train and supervise assigned associates in stocking, pricing, and safety standards for perishable areas.
• Record and analyze perishable markdowns and coordinate actions to prevent recurrences.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure customer needs are addressed promptly.
• Assist with sanitation standards and adherence to food handling regulations.
