Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Manager to oversee Produce, Fresh Meat, Packaged Meats, Dairy, Frozen, Bakery, and related perishables in a fast-paced store in Bakersfield, CA. You will manage stock levels, planogram adherence, pricing, and customer service to drive profits.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining safety and sanitation, coordinating with Store Manager, and ensuring proper inventory and markdowns while meeting company standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Math and numerical accuracy for till and inventory control.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to read plan-o-grams and ensure merchandise presentation.
• Familiarity with safety policies and food handling rules.
• Leadership or supervision experience preferred in retail/grocery.

Responsabilités

• Oversee Perishable Departments including Produce, Meat, Dairy, Frozen, Bakery and related categories.
• Maintain correct stock levels and planograms based on store volume and ads.
• Train associates on presentation, freshness, pricing, and safe handling of perishables.
• Assist in scheduling, markdowns, and inventory accuracy; ensure sanitation standards.
