Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math including percentages and reports.
• Ability to learn cash register functions and generate reports.
• Experience in inventory management and perishable stock control.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and security practices.
• Familiarity with plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining perishable stock levels and merchandise presentation.
• Oversee cash accountability, key control, and safety practices.
• Train associates on perishable standards, pricing, and safe handling of food.
• Record inventory and perishable markdowns; analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and maintain sanitation standards.
• Support other store operations as directed by the Store Manager.
