Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department manager to support store operations and help meet financial and sales goals. You will build associate and customer relations and promote a strong culture aligned with Food Lion Strategy.

You will lead the department team, ensure food safety and quality, manage scheduling and coaching, and collaborate with store leadership to deliver a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and be able to perform required physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and development.
• Supervise department staff and conduct regular performance appraisals.
• Oversee daily labor schedules and coaching to meet productivity targets.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion values and strategy.
• Ensure department compliance with safety, quality, and stocking standards.
