Job summary

The position requires a high school diploma with 2 years in supply chain or OR environments, strong interpersonal skills, and basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, operating rooms, or procedural areas.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, operating room environment, and inventory management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent Brown University Health and Supply Chain in interaction with all levels of personnel within and outside the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance and practice standards in accordance with established system policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Recognizes or anticipates problems and refers them immediately to the appropriate person for resolution if needed.
• Follows established processes to reasonably ensure uninterrupted supply of all inventory items needed to maintain supply chain managed operating rooms, procedural areas, and ancillary departments.
• Counts, organizes, orders, delivers, picks, packages, puts away, inspects, and/or receives equipment and supplies as directed.
• Ensures supplies are available to support patients and caregivers in supply chain managed areas.
• Maintains stock in a clean and orderly manner including storage rooms, shelves, bins, carts with clear labels.
• Orders approved supplies through Brown University Health Purchasing; expedites orders; receives stock and maintains inventory par levels.
