Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Reviews preoperative patient charts to ensure forms are signed and tests completed.
• Assists in surgical room preparation with basic supplies.
• Cleans furniture and equipment between cases.
• Obtains supplies and equipment for specific procedures.
• Assists in prepping patients for surgery and in preoperative scrubs.
• Inventories, requisitions, and stocks supplies.
• Delivers cultures and specimens to designated areas.
• Cleans and maintains operating rooms and sterilizes equipment.
