Aufgaben

• Maintains surgeon's preference cards and anticipates surgeon needs.
• Prepares instruments and equipment for the operating room.
• Performs surgical counts and passes supplies or instruments.
• Prepares and cuts suture material; assists in room turnover.
• Transfers, but does not administer, drugs within the sterile field.
• Assists in counting sponges, needles, and instruments with the OR circulator.
• Ensures sterile field and instrument functionality throughout procedures.
