Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Distribution Technician to deliver high-level customer service and operational support across all facilities. You will help maintain stock, receive and deliver supplies, and ensure accurate inventory in busy environments.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to operate distribution equipment, and a good driving record. Training is provided, and this day shift position pays hourly according to the posted pay range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; five or more years relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in daily duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent Brown University Health and Supply Chain.
• Ability to operate distribution equipment including pallet jacks and reach trucks.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instruction manuals for equipment.
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record per Fleet policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance and practice standards.
• Recognizes or anticipates problems and refers them for resolution.
• Follows processes to ensure uninterrupted supply of equipment and supplies.
• Counts, organizes, orders, delivers, picks, packs, puts away, inspects, and/or receives equipment and supplies.
• Maintains stock in assigned areas with clean, organized storage.
• Orders according to par levels and reorder quantities.
• Implements inventory management including FIFO.
• Receives material and maintains records.
• Delivers orders to Brown University Health locations.
• Unloads supplies from loading dock as needed.
• Delivers supplies using a truck or van.
• Replenishes patient and ancillary supply carts.
• Interacts with suppliers to confirm or expedite delivery.
