Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within six months of hire preferred.
• Two years of experience in ambulatory surgery center, hospital, physician practice, surgical services, or related healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Reviews postings, referrals, orders, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Schedules surgical procedures and related appointments in Epic or other scheduling systems.
• Coordinates scheduling with patients, surgeon offices, physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.
• Resolves scheduling discrepancies, missing documentation, and authorization issues before surgery.
• Serves as primary contact for scheduling with surgeon offices and block availability.
