Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp PACU in Minnesota. The role focuses on comprehensive preoperative and postoperative nursing care, including patient assessment, monitoring, and planning of perianesthesia care within established policies.

You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safe recovery and smooth transitions for patients. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and PALS if pediatric care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS or BCLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope services within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policies to include cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, hemodynamic, pain and mental status.
• Interpret data from monitors and apply appropriate discharge criteria.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plans of care and implement them.
• Provide post-anesthesia care across the continuum and transfer care with accurate hand-off reports.
