SCA Health is hiring an RN for PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across the patient journey. The role focuses on evaluating preoperative and postoperative status, managing recovery from anesthesia, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license, and obtain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS when applicable) within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope within 90 days of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of commonly encountered diseases.
• Describe anesthesia techniques and perioperative interventions.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia across various modalities.
• Communicate patient status across the perioperative continuum.
• Provide age-specific, culturally competent care and protect patient rights.
