Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care across our operating units. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, monitor vital signs, manage pain, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe, timely recoveries.

Ideal candidates hold an Accredited Nursing degree, state RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are required depending on unit scope. This role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• BLS certification; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS required when pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote SCA Health mission, vision and values.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret monitors and describe disease physiology.
• Apply discharge criteria and transfer planning.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia care plans.
• Administer medications safely and manage pain.
• Provide patient education and involve family in care.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams.
