Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU in Florida. The role focuses on preoperative and postoperative assessment, maintaining patient safety, and implementing perianesthesia plans across the perioperative continuum.

You will interpret monitors, manage pain, and coordinate hand-offs with the surgical team while upholding clinical quality and patient advocacy in a high-volume ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment
• ACLS within 90 days of employment
• PALS if pediatric care is part of scope within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies
• Interpret information from monitors accurately
• Describe pathophysiology and anesthesia techniques as related to perioperative care
• Develop individualized perioperative care plans
• Administer medications safely and manage pain and comfort
• Provide hand-off reports to team and coordinate care transitions
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and privacy standards
• Document care completely and participate in quality improvement
