Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active license.
• Minimum one year of PreOp/PACU nursing experience.
• Current state RN license in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret monitors and describe patient physiology.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia care plan.
• Administer meds safely using the 8 rights.
• Provide safe recovery from anesthesia and transfer care.
• Document nursing care completely and accurately.
• Collaborate with team and participate in quality improvement.
