Job summary

SCA Health in Riverside, CA is seeking a registered nurse with preoperative or PACU experience to provide comprehensive perioperative care in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of disease processes.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
• Coordinate care, communicate patient status, and provide education to patient and family.
• Ensure patient safety, infection prevention and wound care, and timely hand-offs.
