Job summary

SCA Health in Laguna Hills, CA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across the patient journey. You will assess patients before and after surgery, monitor vital signs, manage pain, and collaborate with anesthesia teams to ensure safe, timely recovery.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license, at least one year in PreOp or PACU, BLS, ACLS (PALS if pediatric care is required), and a commitment to high-quality patient care within facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS (and ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret monitoring data and ensure patient safety during recovery.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia plan of care.
• Communicate patient status during perianesthesia care continuum.
• Provide education to patient and family regarding recovery expectations.
