SCA Health in Summerville, SC is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care. You will assess patients before and after anesthesia, monitor status, and coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe recovery.

Responsabilidades

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient preoperative and postoperative status at intervals per facility policy (cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, hemodynamic, pain, mental status).
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of commonly encountered disease processes.
• Describe physiology of anesthesia techniques and interventions.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan: prepare for recovery from anesthesia—general, MAC, regional, local.
• Protect patient from injury from positioning, heat sources, and extraneous objects.
• Communicate patient status throughout the perianesthesia continuum.
• Provide acute pain and comfort management; administer medications using the 8 rights.
• Transfer care as needed; provide hand-off reports; delegate tasks per policy.
• Document nursing care completely; collaborate with other disciplines; participate in quality review.
