Job summary

SCA Health in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp/PACU role. You will assess patients’ status pre- and post‑operatively, monitor vitals, and implement perianesthesia care plans to support safe recovery.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, 1 year of PreOp/PACU experience, and current licensure; ACLS/BLS; PALS if pediatric care is included. Medical/surgical nursing experience is valued.

Qualifications

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience is required.
Medical/surgical nursing experience is preferred.
Current state licensure to practice in good standing.

Responsibilities

Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to policy.
Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia across settings.
Provide education to patient and family regarding post‑operative care and expectations.
Document care accurately and hand off to teammates with pertinent details.
Maintain patient safety, dignity, and privacy throughout perioperative care.
