Job summary

You will apply clinical knowledge to ensure safety and comfort, while adhering to facility policies. Ideal candidates have PACU experience, active RN licensure, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS when applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• 1 year of Pre Operative or PACU experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice as a nurse.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia in various modalities.
• Provide education and advocate for patient and family.
