SCA Health in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across our ambulatory centers. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, monitor status, and implement perianesthesia plans to ensure safe recovery.

The role emphasizes continuing education, effective communication, and adherence to safety standards while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.

Responsabilités

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy to include cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, hemodynamic, pain, and mental status.
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of disease processes and anesthesia techniques.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement and manage recovery from anesthesia across various modalities.
• Provide hand‑off reports and patient education as needed.
• Delegate tasks and maintain patient rights, dignity, and privacy.
