SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role at our Downers Grove facility. Responsibilities include assessing patients preoperatively and postoperatively, interpreting monitors, and applying perianesthesia care plans.

You will collaborate with the team to ensure safe recovery and discharge readiness. The ideal candidate has PACU or Preoperative experience, an active nursing license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS may be required depending on pediatric scopes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice with good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included within the facility scope.

Responsabilités

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe patient conditions.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide safe medication administration and pain management.
• Transfer care and provide hand-off reports to teammates.
