Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp and PACU with Pain & GI focus in a fast-paced perioperative setting. The RN will assess and monitor patients pre- and post-operation, interpret monitors, and develop individualized care plans.

Responsibilities include managing anesthesia recovery, educating patients, and ensuring safe discharge, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires current nursing licensure, Preop/PACU experience, and certification in BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility policies.
Interpret information from monitors.
Describe pathophysiology of diseases and anesthesia techniques.
Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
Implement plan of care including anesthesia recovery management across general, monitored anesthesia care, regional, and local.
Provide patient education and discharge planning.
Document nursing care completely and accurately.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement.
