Job summary

SCA Health in Lone Tree, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Assessment Testing to support perioperative care and patient advocacy. You will assess patients, review medical histories, and prepare patients for anesthesia and procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
Current state licensure to practice.
BLS or BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
PALS certification if pediatric care is included.
Perioperative nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
Describe pathophysiology of common disease processes encountered.
Explain physiology of anesthesia techniques and procedures.
Develop individualized perianesthesia care plans.
Communicate patient status during perioperative care continuum.
Educate patients on medications and recovery expectations.
Ensure compliance with Universal Protocol and time-out policies.
Provide hand-off reports to team with concise, relevant details.
Delegate tasks according to applicable regulations and job descriptions.
Document care completely and accurately.
