Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification within six weeks of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English language.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases efficiently, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and other OR staff.
• Maintains aseptic technique to provide a safe environment for patient and staff.
• Collects and analyzes data to develop nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians and families.
• Manages equipment setup and room turnover.
