Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Clive, IA, is seeking a Full-time perioperative RN to provide intraoperative patient care as scrub and circulating nurse. This role requires call, weekends, nights and Holidays as scheduled, and involves ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license and OR experience, with BLS to be completed within six weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• Current or compact state RN license.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases efficiently, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe environment for patient and staff.
• Collects and analyzes data to develop nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians and families.
• Operates and troubleshoots OR equipment as needed.
• Participates in room turnover and department meetings.
