Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a perioperative nurse to provide intraoperative patient care. The role includes scrub and circulating responsibilities across age groups, with required call, weekend, night, and holiday coverage. The position requires maintaining patient safety, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesia, and supporting turnover and room readiness in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Registered Nurse license (state or compact).
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases and anticipates needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe environment for patient and staff.
• Collects and analyzes data to support nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and families.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup and function.
