Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA seeking a perioperative nurse to provide intraoperative patient care, scrubbing and circulating across age groups from neonate to geriatric. The role requires shift work with call, weekends, nights and holidays as scheduled.

The ideal candidate holds an Iowa RN license, OR experience, and BLS certification within six weeks of hire, with mandatory abuse training completion within three months. English proficiency is required.

Qualificações

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification within six weeks of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsabilidades

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe environment for patient and staff.
• Collects and analyzes data to support nursing diagnosis.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians and families.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup and function.
• Directs room cleanup and turnover.
