Job summary

Mercy South seeks a Registered Nurse First Assistant for the Main OR. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and coordinates perioperative activities.

Requirements: accredited nursing program graduate, active RN license in IL, at least 1 year perioperative nursing, BLS/ACLS within first year; CNOR or RN-First Assistant preferred. Mercy supports career growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS certification within first year.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
