Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant for the Main OR. You will apply the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with OR staff and other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. A graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Missouri RN license and at least 1 year perioperative experience is required; BLS/ACLS within the first year, with CNOR/RN-FA preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in Missouri.
• Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• CNOR/RN-FA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
