Job summary

Mercy seeks a Registered Nurse with perioperative experience to provide direct patient care using the nursing process in the operating suite. You will maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients and coordinate with the broader care team.

Active RN licensure in the state, at least one year perioperative experience, and BLS/ACLS within the first year are required; CNOR or RN-First Assistant is a plus. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and perioperative nursing.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
