Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant for the Main OR. The role utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinates with other departments, and upholds patient rights and confidentiality.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license in Missouri, at least 1 year perioperative nursing experience, and BLS/ACLS within the first year. CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
