Job summary

Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for perioperative care within the surgical team. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia providers, and ensure a safe, sterile environment throughout the surgical experience.

Required: active RN license, BLS; preferred ACLS/PALS and CNOR/BSN. One year perioperative experience or on-the-job training accepted. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or equivalent on-the-job training.
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulating duties, patient positioning, documentation and surgical counts.
• Maintain sterile surgical environment and assist with infection prevention and safety standards.
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons, anesthesia providers and surgical team.
• Provide patient and family education and protect patient privacy.
