Job summary

Pampa Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Staff RN in the perioperative suite. The role focuses on delivering direct and indirect patient care across the peri-operative continuum, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Requirements include current state RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certificates with at least one year perioperative experience. BSN and CNOR are preferred. Full-time day shift, on-site position in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor.
• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting.
• Coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs OR Technician and other personnel.
• Maintains standards of professional nursing and adheres to regulations, policies and procedures.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
