Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for perioperative care within the surgical team. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia providers, and ensure a safe, sterile environment throughout the surgical experience.
Required: active RN license, BLS; preferred ACLS/PALS and CNOR/BSN. One year perioperative experience or on-the-job training accepted. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.
Schedule: Full Time - Days |5-8 hour shifts
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice while maintaining a safe and sterile surgical environment. The Registered Nurse works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team to coordinate patient care and respond quickly to changes in the patient’s condition. Responsibilities include circulating duties, patient positioning, maintaining accurate documentation and surgical counts, and supporting infection prevention and safety standards. The Registered Nurse also provides patient and family education, maintains professional nursing standards, and protects patient privacy and confidentiality while ensuring safe, effective care before, during, and immediately following surgical procedures.
