Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a Peri-Operative (OR) Registered Nurse in Texas to provide nursing care in a single operating room and supervise patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting. The role requires current TX RN licensure, BLS CPR, ACLS CPR; PALS preferred.

You will ensure aseptic technique, assist anesthesia, and support the surgical team. Open to PRN, part-time, and full-time opportunities across shifts; strong communication, organization, and time-management skills are essential

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two or more years RN experience.
• Current TX RN licensure.
• BLS CPR required; ACLS CPR required; PALS CPR preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a single operating room in compliance with standards and policies.
• Assess patient and family needs to deliver quality care.
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for efficient case management.
• Maintain asepsis and safety throughout procedures.
• Perform time-out and verify patient, procedure, and site.
• Assist anesthesia and support surgical team during operations.
• Attend required safety training and follow exposure control plans.
• Maintain professional conduct and teamwork.
